The service user’s rights as to choice, dignity, privacy, cultural and religious beliefs will be respected at all times.
The service provided will always focus on being empowering and enabling.
The service provided will be regularly monitored and reviewed to ensure it continues to meet the service users’ needs and the care plan will be amended to reflect this, following full consultation and involvement with the service user and their representative at a minimum of annually but also when this is deemed as necessary or acting on a request.
The service user can expect that all staff that are employed by Home Alternative Ltd will have received an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS) in addition to checking the Vulnerable Adult Barred list. The company will also have completed a thorough interview and recruitment process.
They will have received in-depth induction training and will receive regular supervision, monitoring and observations.
The number of staff involved in the delivery of the service will be kept to a minimum to allow cover for holidays, illness and other absences.
The service user has the right to expect staff to arrive no later than 30 minutes outside the agreed time at the assessment and as per contract. Should there be any unforeseen circumstances that staff will be later than this the service user will be informed by telephone and options discussed with them as to their wishes regarding this visit.
